 Lene Vibe Dahlgren was born in 1971 in Denmark, where she still lives and runs her jeweller´s atelier.
Lene, known to be one of the finest goldsmiths in Denmark, was trained at the world renowned Georg Jensen silversmith workshop where she was awarded the bronze medal for her apprenticeship piece.
In 2002 she opened her exclusive jeweller´s shop, Vibe's at Gråbrødretorv - a charming square in the heart of the old Copenhagen. This is where she offers pure pampering for selective, discerning women who are not afraid to express themselves.
As an experienced goldsmith, Lene Vibe works uncompromisingly: "My jewels are raw, feminine and luxurious. We spare no expense and work exclusively in 18k gold with baroque and Tahitian pearls, brilliants and diamonds. Often the jewels contains a historical or humorous twist - a little snail sticking out it´s antennae, or a 200 year old diamond, reused in marvellous combination with other exquisite materials. Lene Vibe finds the inspiration for these fairytale-like jewels in music, nature and Renaissance art, among other things.
From the point of conception of a new piece to the final result on exhibit, the piece undergoes a long and meticulous process - often approached unconventionally - and no two pieces are alike!
It is Lene Vibe - as well as her one employee - who shape and create each unique design. All of the work takes place in the heart of her enchanting shop - a space that evokes a larger-than-life treasure trove spilling over with rich colours, plush hand-knotted carpets, and ethereal chandeliers - a romantic universe truly reflecting the artist's vision and life.
